Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that he could not see Cristiano Ronaldo continuing his career in the Middle East after his contract with Manchester United was terminated
Ronaldo was released before the 2022 Qatar World Cup by Manchester United, after his statements attacking club policies and coach Erik ten Hag
Ancelotti said in his statements to the Spanish newspaper “AS”: “Cristiano Ronaldo is in the heart of the Real Madrid fans, what he presented here in the Santiago Bernabeu cannot be forgotten
He added, “The competition between Ronaldo and Messi gave motivation to both of them. In those years, each of them was leading his team and his country’s national team. Messi has now won the World Cup, but Ronaldo is unusual and an exceptional player anyway
And he continued: “I do not know what Cristiano Ronaldo will do in his future. He still wants to compete at the highest level in Europe, so it is difficult for him to move to an Arab team, and he will not play in the Middle East after what he presented in the past years
Cristiano Ronaldo was associated during the last period with the Saudi Al-Nasr team to move to him in January, after he was in negotiations last summer with Al-Hilal, but he preferred to continue with Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo had left the World Cup in the quarter-finals against Morocco, after losing 1-0, in the match in which he participated as a substitute, after losing his starting place after the group stage
Ronaldo scored only once in the tournament, against Ghana in the opening game from the penalty spot, and is now looking to find a club to move to in January
